Maria Stavroulaki holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Nottingham Trent University. She holds a master’s degree in Neuropsychology from Maastricht University in the Netherlands, where she was trained in the etiology and treatment of mental disorders and neuropsychological functioning disorders. She has also been trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy at the European Institute of Counseling and Psychotherapy (EICP), a scientifically validated therapy that focuses on identifying and changing dysfunctional thoughts and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and developing personal problem-solving strategies. She has attended and continues to attend a wide range of scientific seminars on a regular basis with the aim of continuously improving the services she offers. She has worked both as a therapist in mental health settings and as a researcher on programs at Maastricht University.
