Katerina Tsourounaki holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Department of Psychology at the University of Ioannina and is licensed to practice. She is currently training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through the two-year program at the Center for Applied Psychotherapy and Counseling.
Regarding her professional experience, she completed her volunteer work and clinical internship at the Leros State Hospital, where she worked in the acute care unit of the psychiatric department, while simultaneously actively participating in individual sessions and psychometric assessments. To enhance her professional training and broaden her knowledge in the field, she has participated in numerous seminars. Some of these include: "Asperger’s Syndrome, Dyslexia, and the Child’s Psychogram," "Autism Spectrum Disorder," "The Psychological Origins of Stigma and Bias," "Awareness of Systems Thinking," and many others.
Her primary goal is to understand the client and their difficulties. To form strong therapeutic bonds that will enhance the client’s mental health and lead to their immediate relief. Genuine human concern for the patient is the key tool for fostering their well-being and strengthening their mental health.
